Who are we?
We are a leading youth homelessness charity based in the Southwest, working with over 1,500 young people. At 1625ip we are driven by Social Justice and Passion: we strive to do something that matters and take pride in seeing the results of our work in social outcomes and improving young people’s lives.

What you will be doing:

• Be the first point of contact for young people, colleagues and visitors on reception, both face to face and over the phone.
• Support the project Manager in data collection, monitoring, and reporting.
• Extensive use of our internal housing management systems for recording and monitoring purposes.
• By being well organised, efficient, and effective you will support the whole team in a range of housing management functions.
• Support young people, your colleagues, and the team in promoting and facilitating a positive rent culture.
You will be in the High Support Team and your line manager will be St George’s House Senior Project Worker.

• Hours per week: 24 (this represents 0.6 FTE)

• Pay: £25,992 – £27,269 per annum (pro rata based on 0.6 FTE)

Summary of Role:

About The Role
The Youth Voice Coordinator plays a key role in implementing CYN’s participation strategy and youth participation groups. They coordinate core youth participation groups but also ensure colleagues across all levels of the organisation, from delivery staff to the board, have the tools to effectively embed youth participation. The successful candidate will be expected to work some evenings to engage young people in our Open Access sessions, and build core participation groups in Bristol and South Gloucester.
The role is integral to collaboration of existing participation groups both internally at CYN, and externally in the local area. The Youth Voice Coordinator will be responsible for the success of We The 33% events, and ensuring the agenda and planning is youth led, with a measurable influence on decision making in the region.

About The Role
This is a new and exciting role to support young people in Kingswood working in partnership with Kingswood Town Council, South Gloucestershire Council and local schools, and you will be actively engaged with those organisations to support and champion young people in Kingswood.
With support from the Youth Work Manager, who oversees all South Glos Youth Services programming and delivery, the Lead Youth Worker will lead all CYN youth work activities in Kingswood. You will lead a small team of youth workers and volunteers during group sessions, working closely with schools and our Wellbeing Practitioner, to provide young people with activities to support them to achieve positive outcomes and unlock their potential.
